Job description
We are growing and are looking for an ambitious, self-motivated Credit Risk Manager to join a new team. You will be responsible for the risk assessment and decisioning of new and repeat business applications submitted to Liberis, balancing the customer needs with Liberis’ risk exposure. You will be underwriting complex, high-value applications as well as being a leading member within the global team in terms of driving forward a high performing team. 

  • Underwriting of new and repeat business requests, investigating multiple pieces of supporting information to make sound, rational decisions
  • Direct liaison with prospective customers to obtain further information, as well as potentially relaying accept/decline decisions
  • Acting as a referral point for other relevant areas of the business on our policies, procedures and other related issues
  • Constantly challenging the way in which we underwrite to ensure we are always striving for the best possible on-boarding experience whilst equally protecting Liberis’ risk
  • Successfully analyzing complex, high value applications which will include financial account analysis as well as potentially conducting site inspections where necessary
  • Presenting recommendations to our credit committee and board in a clear, concise manner

You

  • Attention to detail
  • Previous SMB underwriting experience with a proven track record of solely making decisions up to an agreed mandate level
  • Ability to interpret and draw conclusions from financial accounts (balance sheet, profit and loss)
  • Strong time management, task management and organizational skills;
  • Previous experience within Underwriting/Finance is preferred but not necessary
  • Highly motivated
  • Good communicator/customer service skills
  • The ability to act proactively and with limited direct supervision, while at the same time recognizing when matters need to be referred or a second opinion sought 

It's a plus if you

  • have relevant academic degree in business or engineering
